Mr. Kane of Holyoke moves to amend the bill, in line item 4000-0500 by inserting at the end of the section, the following:

“….provided further, that a supplemental payment shall be made from the MassHealth Office of the Executive Office of Health and Human Services (“MassHealth”) to Holyoke Medical Center, which is a disproportionate share hospital as defined by 114.1 CMR 36.04 and M.G.L. 118G §1, in the amount of the difference between 70% of the charges such hospital has incurred in FY ’09 for providing medical or behavioral health services, both inpatient and outpatient, and any payments for such services received by such hospital from MassHealth.”
