IN THE YEAR TWO THOUSAND AND SIX AN ACT FOR A SPECIAL LAW RE: THOMAS DYNAN Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows: SECTION 1. Notwithstanding any other general or special law to the contrary, the three (3) surviving minor dependents of Lieutenant Thomas Dynan of the Boston Fire Department, specifically, Tyler Dynan, Tara Dynan, and Thomas Dynan, shall remain eligible for participation in the group health insurance program offered by the City of Boston as if Lieutenant Thomas Dynan were an active member or until each such minor dependent attains the age of eighteen (18) years old unless (i) such surviving dependent is physically and/or mentally incapacitated from gainful employment wherein such eligibility for participation in the group health insurance program shall not expire unless such dependent obtains alternative health insurance coverage or (ii) such surviving dependent is a full-time student at an accredited educational institution and has not reached the age of twenty-five (25) years old. SECTION 2. This law shall take effect immediately upon passage. |
