An Act relative to time lines for social workers in the department of social services.

    Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

SECTION 1.  Section 4 of chapter 18B of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2004 Official Edition, is hereby amended by inserting after the words “subject to appropriation” in line 1, the following words:— and the availability of sufficient staff.

SECTION 2. Subsection (1) of section 51B of chapter 119 of the General Laws, as so appearing, is hereby amended by striking the words “ten calendar days for all other such reports” and inserting in place thereof the following words:— fifteen working days for all such reports, provided sufficient investigatory staff are available.
