An Act Relative to the Special Education of Amber Chouinard. |
Whereas, The deferred operation of this act would tend to defeat its purpose, which is to provide housing forthwith for Amber Chouinard, therefore it is hereby declared to be an emergency law, necessary for the immediate preservation of the public convenience
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
Notwithstanding any general or special law to the contrary, the department of mental retardation shall establish a separate fund for the purpose of paying all costs incurred for providing residential housing for Amber Chouinard. Such housing to be determined by the Department and payment thereof shall commence 30 days subsequent to the effective date of this act and run continuously until Amber Chouinard attains the age of 22 years old.
