 An Act relative to cellular telephone service.

 

    Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:


 

SECTION 1. Chapter 159 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2004 Official Edition, is hereby amended by inserting after section 12E the following section:--

 

Section 12F. A mobile radio utility system providing cellular telephone services under a contract to a customer who loses such telephone, or seeks to otherwise replace it, shall not upon replacing such telephone change the terms of the existing contract including the length thereof, except at the customer’s request.
