In the Year Two Thousand and Seven.

An Act regarding the alcohol beverage control commission.

    Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

SECTION 1.  Notwithstanding any general or special law, or rule or regulation, to the contrary the Alcoholic Beverage Control Commission is hereby authorized and directed to make an investigation and study on the adequacy and efficiency of the law,  presently appearing in chapter 138 of the General Laws and any regulations thereto, governing the general supervision of the conduct of the business of manufacturing, importing, exporting, storing, transporting and selling alcoholic beverages and the quality, purity and alcoholic contents thereof, and to make such legislative recommendations to modernize and update make such law and regulations as said Alcoholic Beverage Control Commission necessary. The commission shall file a report on the results of its study, together with its recommendations, if any, and drafts of legislation necessary to carry such recommendations into effect, with the clerks of the house of representatives and the senate not later than December 12, 2007.
