 An Act Relative to text messages.

 

    Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:


 

SECTION 1. Massachusetts General Laws Chapter 93 is hereby amended by inserting after section 107 the following sections:-

 

SECTION 108. As used in section 109, the following word shall have the following meaning:

“text message,” an electronic message sent or received via wireless telephone

 

SECTION 109. No charges over the amount of five dollars may be authorized by text message
