 An Act phasing out Keno.

 

    Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:


 

The General Laws are hereby amended by striking out section 27A of Chapter 10, as appearing in the 2004 official edition, and inserting in place thereof the following section:

 

Section 27A. (a) The lottery commission is hereby authorized and directed to phase out the game known as “Keno” by the first of January of 2008.

 

(b) All Keno licenses shall be revoked by the date defined in subsection (a). Charitable Keno licensees shall be given the opportunity to participate in beano under the procedures defined in Sections 37-41 of Chapter 10 of the General Laws.
