An Act regulating continuing education for plumbers and gas inspectors.

    Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

Chapter 142 of the General Laws is hereby amended by inserting after Section 6 the following section: Section 6A. Notwithstanding the provisions of any general or special law to the contrary, all plumbing and/or gas fitting inspectors shall be required to complete a minimum of 12 hours per year in the interpretation and review of the Massachusetts Plumbing and Fuel Gas Codes and other related codes, rules and regulations. The examiners of Plumbers and Gas Fitters are authorized to and shall promulgate rules and regulations for the requirements of continuing education programs for all plumbing and/or gas fitting inspectors.
