An Act relative to the resale of tickets.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

Section 185D of Chapter 140 of the General Laws, Official 2004 Edition, is hereby amended by striking the phrase “at a price in excess of two dollars in advance of the price printed on the face of such ticket or other evidence of right of entry as the purchase price thereof; provided, however, that a price in excess of the above maximum shall not be deemed in violation of this section if the amount in excess of the above maximum is solely attributable to service charges,” and inserting in its place the following:

“at a price in excess of 25% of the price printed on the face of such ticket or other evidence of right of entry as the purchase price thereof. In addition, the maximum amount allowable for service charges and other fees shall not exceed 20% of the price printed on the face of such ticket or other evidence of right of entry as the purchase price thereof.”
