In the Year Two Thousand and Seven.

 An Act regarding the procurement of software.

 

    Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

 

SECTION 1. Notwithstanding the provisions of   any other general or special law to the contrary, any technology policy, practice or standard promulgated by the Information Technology Division concerning the procurement or use of software shall conform to the standards established by the Organization for the Advancement of Structured Information Standards (OASIS) and by ECMA, International. This act shall take effect as of June 30, 2005.
