In the Year Two Thousand and Seven.

 An Act requiring financial literacy courses in high school.

 

    Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:


 

SECTION 1 . Section 2 of chapter 71 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2004 Official Edition, is hereby amended by adding the following paragraph: -

 

                In all public high schools a course shall be taught on personal financial literacy which shall include, but not be limited to, consumer financial education, personal finance and credit.
