 An Act relative to the school building assistance program.

 

    Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:


 

SECTION 1. The definition of “Approved School Project” in section 5 of Chapter 645 of the Acts of 1948 is hereby amended by inserting after the second sentence the following new sentence:— Notwithstanding the provisions of section 5 the Commission may, until five years from the effective date of this Act, also define as approved school projects repairs necessary to protect the health and safety of the school population which have been delayed by the lack of funding caused by tax limitation statutes.
