In the Year Two Thousand and Seven.

 An Act relative to tuition payments for children in foster care.

 

    Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:


 

SECTION 1. Section 7 of chapter 76 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2004 Official Edition, is hereby amended in paragraph two by adding the following sentence:—

All school-aged children placed by or under the control of the department of transitional assistance or the department of social services under the provisions of sections 7 and 9 of chapter 26, other than in their home city or town, shall have their tuition reimbursed under the provisions of said sections 7 and 9.

SECTION 2. Chapter 71 of the acts of 1993 is hereby amended by striking out section 96, as amended section 268 of chapter 110 of the acts of 1993.
