Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
Subsection ll of section 89 of chapter 71 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2004 Official Edition, is hereby amended by inserting after the word “charter,” in line 397, the following: - ; provided, however, that the term for a charter school renewal shall be 7 years from the expiration of the initial charter or subsequent renewals.
