 An Act relative to special education transportation costs.

 

    Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:


 

SECTION 1. Chapter 71B of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2004 Official Edition, is hereby amended by adding the following section:-  

Section 17.

The commonwealth shall fund the 100% reimbursement to every city, town, regional school district or independent vocational school for the transportation services expenditure per pupil incurred by the transportation of each special needs pupil who is transferred from a regular day program from the pupil’s home district to an out-of-district city, town, regional school district or independent vocational school.
