In the Year Two Thousand and Seven.

 An Act to establish full day Kindergarten.

 

    Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:


 

SECTION 1. Section 1B of chapter 69 of the General Laws, is hereby amended by striking the words contained in paragraph 20, and inserting in place thereof the following:

            The board shall establish the permissible and mandatory ages for school attendance; provided, that the minimum required age for school attendance shall be promulgated such that each child of the commonwealth be required to enter school or corresponding educational program at kindergarten age.

 

SECTION 2. This act is not exempt from the provisions of section 27c of chapter 29 of the General Laws.
