In the Year Two Thousand and Seven.

 An Act requiring school districts to adopt a certain health program.

 

    Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:


 

SECTION 1.

 

Chapter 71 of the General Laws is hereby amended by inserting after section 54B the following section:—
Section 54C. Each school district shall develop a program to identify and serve pupils with light-based reading difficulties, best defined, as of
December 1, 2002 by screening practices and methodologies used to address Irlen syndrome and/or scotopic sensitivity, so called.
