 An Act allowing the use of credit cards to pay tuition.

 

    Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:


 

Section 1. Clause 2 of subsection (a) of section 28A of chapter 140D of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2004 Official Edition, is hereby amended by adding the following sentence:-

 

                No college, university or other educational institution may impose a surcharge on a cardholder who elects to use a credit card in lieu of payment by cash , check  or similar means.
