 An Act relative to prohibiting the collection of signatures for initiative or referendum petitions for compensation. .

 

    Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:


 

Section 22A of chapter 53 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2004 Official Edition, is hereby amended by adding the following sentence:—
No person shall engage in the collection of signatures for a initiative or referendum petition for money or any other thing of value.
