 An Act relative to campaign finance reports.

 

    Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:


 

SECTION 1.  Subsection (f) of section 19 of chapter 55 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2004 Official Edition, is hereby amended by striking lines 130 to 133, inclusive, and inserting in place thereof the following sentence:-  “Any candidate or political committee which fails to file any report required by this section shall be assessed, and shall pay to the state treasurer, a penalty not greater than $20 for each of the first 7 days and not more than $50 for each subsequent day.”
