An Act relative to certain parcels of land of the Department of Conservation and Recreation. |
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
Chapter 92 of the
Massachusetts General Laws is hereby amended by adding at the end of Section
87, the following new section:—
Section 87A. For the purposes of beautification and preservation, certain
parcels of land operated and managed by the Department of Conservation and
Recreation, the geographic boundaries of which are located on Dale Street in
the Hyde Park section of the city of Boston, the William A. Doyle Playground
located at 92 River Street in the Hyde Park section of the city of Boston, and
the Meaney Playground on Pleasant Street in Dorchester, and which are currently
in disrepair, are abandoned for public use, are in disuse and in need of
refurbishment and rehabilitation, and are therefore unsafe and in hazardous
conditions, shall be transferred to the city of Boston for use as public parks,
open space, or other uses deemed appropriate and necessary by the city of
Boston.
