In the Year Two Thousand and Seven.

 An Act to preserve health insurance for college graduates.

 

    Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:


 

SECTION 1. Notwithstanding any general or special law to the contrary,

every private and public university and college in the common-

wealth shall contract with a health insurance company or organization to make available through COBRA health insurance for

graduates for a period one year after graduation. The provision of

this insurance shall be at the cost of the graduate.
