An Act to prohibit the use of public funds for unnecessary neonatal circumcisions. |
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
Chapter 118E of the General Laws, as appearing in
the 2000 Official Edition, is hereby amended by inserting, after section 10A,
the following new section:—
10A1/2. The division shall not provide coverage for neonatal male
circumcisions unless the circumcision is medically necessary after a
physician’s diagnosis of pathology or physical deformity involving the
recipient’s penile foreskin.
