 An Act relative to the prescription advantage program.

 

    Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:


 

SECTION 1. Section 39 (4) of Chapter 19A of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2004 Official Edition, is hereby amended by striking the definition beginning with the words “a period” in line 34 and ending with the word “eligible” in line 37, and inserting in place thereof the following definition: “a period of time during which the program accepts enrollment forms from eligible applicants age 66 and over who did not enroll during the period in which they were initially eligible and said period shall be for two months and shall coincide for as long as it is feasible with the open enrollment period for the Medicare Part D prescription drug program”.
