In the Year Two Thousand and Seven.

An Act relative to the duties and powers of local housing authorities. .

    Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

SECTION 1. Section 18(a) of chapter 7A of the General Laws, as most recently amended by chapter 184 of the Acts of 2002, is hereby further amended by inserting the following words at the end of the first sentence:—
“provided, further, for the purpose of this section, any agency of a city or town shall include a housing authority as defined by section 3 of chapter 121B of the General Laws.”

SECTION 2. Section 1 of said chapter 62D of the General Laws, as most recently amended by chapter 184 of the Acts of 2002, is hereby amended by deleting in line 24 the following words “an agency of the city or town or any state authority as defined in said section 1 of chapter 29,” and inserting in place thereof the following:—
“an agency of the city or town, provided, for the purpose of this section any agency of a city or town shall include a housing authority as defined by section 3 of chapter 121B of the General Laws, or any state authority as defined in section 1 of chapter 29.”
