 An Act relative to the right of entry to leased residential property.

 

    Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:


 

SECTION 1.  Section 15B of chapter 186 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2004 Official Edition, is hereby amended by inserting, in line 13, after the word “section.” the following:—  “The landlord shall give the tenant reasonable notice, consisting of at least 24 hours, of his or her intent to enter the premises pursuant to this section, except in case of emergency. The landlord shall enter the premises only at reasonable times.”
