In the Year Two Thousand and Seven.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
Chapter 265 of the General Laws is hereby amended by inserting after section 13J the following section:-
Section 13J ½. Whoever having care and custody of a child 5 years of age or younger unattended shall be punished by a fine of not more than $1,000 or imprisonment in a house of correction for not more that 2 ½ years.
