An Act further regulating certain construction liens.

    Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

SECTION 1.  Section 1 of chapter 254 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2002 Official Edition, is hereby amended by striking out, in lines 3, 4 and 5, the words “or by consent of, the owner of such building or structure, or of a person having authority from or rightfully acting for such owner” and inserting in place thereof the following words:— the owner thereof.

SECTION 2. Said chapter 254 is hereby further amended by striking out section 4.
