 An Act requiring CORI checks for public pension applicants.

 

    Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:


 

   Chapter 32 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2000 Official Edition, is hereby amended by adding the following section after section 91C:—
   Section 91D. Notwithstanding the provisions of any general or special law to the contrary, any and every public pension retirement administrator in the commonwealth shall require a criminal offender record information check of any applicant. Any applicant whose criminal offender record information check reveals a criminal conviction for which a pension is denied by state or federal law shall not be granted a retirement pension.
