 An Act relative to convicted felons holding public office.

 

    Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:


 

No Person convicted of a felony crime whether within or outside of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts shall be eligible to hold the public office of sheriff, deputy sheriff, or constable in any county, city, or town within said Commonwealth.
