An Act prohibiting the display of materials harmful to minors |
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
Chapter 272 of the General Laws is hereby amended by inserting after section 30D the following section:-
Section 30E. Whoever displays material which is harmful in such a way that minors as a part of the invited general public will be exposed to view such material, provided, however, a person shall not be deemed to have displayed material to minors if the lower 2/3 is not exposed to view and segregated in a manner that physically prohibits access to the material by minors or whoever allows a minor to view, with or without consideration and material which is harmful to minors shall be punished by imprisonment in a jail or house of correction for not more than 2 ½ years or by a fine of not more than $5,000 or both.
