 An Act authorizing EOPS to promulgate regulations for a sex offender email registry.

 

    Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:


 

 

 

   SECTION 1.  SECTION 1.  Section 18 3/4 of chapter 6A, as appearing in the 2004 Official Edition, is hereby amended by adding the following clause:-

(9)      to adopt regulations relative to the issuance that require convicted sex offenders in the commonwealth to register their e-mail addresses and instant messaging (IM) identities with the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Sex Offender Registry Board
