Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
SECTION
1. Chapter 269 of the General Laws is hereby amended by inserting after
section 13A the following section:—
Section 13B. Whoever intentionally and knowingly makes or causes to be made a
false report of any emergency situation to the police, or an enhanced 911 service
or any other emergency service provider shall be punished by a fine of not less
than $100.00 nor more than $500.00 or by imprisonment in a jail or house of
correction for not more than one year or both.
