 An Act relative to investigations performed by guardian ad litems at the request of the probate and family court.

 

    Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:


 

SECTION 1.  Section 56A of chapter 215 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2004 Official Edition, is hereby amended by inserting after the second sentence the following sentence:—
            The court shall hold a hearing relative to the care, custody or maintenance of the minor children within 120 days of the court’s receipt of the written report prepared by the guardian ad litem.
