In the Year Two Thousand and Seven.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
SECTION 1. Section 2 of Chapter 211 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2006 Official Edition, in hereby amended by striking out the first sentence and inserting in place thereof the following sentence: The Chief Justice of the Supreme Judicial Court shall receive a salary of $160,313.00 and each Associate Justice of the Supreme Judicial Court shall receive a salary of $154,743.00 and the Chief Justice and the Associate Justices shall annually receive from the Commonwealth upon the certificate of the Chief Justice the amount of expenses incurred by each of the them in the discharge of their duties.
SECTION II:
Section 2 of Chapter 211A of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2006 Official Edition, in hereby amended by striking out the first sentence and inserting in place thereof the following sentence: The Chief Justice of the Massachusetts Appeals Court shall receive a salary of $148,779.00 and each Associate Justice of the Massachusetts Appeals Court shall receive a salary of $143,189.00 and the Chief Justice and the Associate Justices shall annually receive from the Commonwealth upon the certificate of the Chief Justice the amount of expenses incurred by each of the them in the discharge of their duties.
SECTION III:
Section 4 of Chapter 211B of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2006 Official Edition, is hereby amended by striking out the first three paragraphs and inserting in place thereof the following three paragraphs:
Section IV: Implementation of Salary Adjustments for Judges
Amendments in Sections I to III above shall be effective as of January 1, 2007.
