In the Year Two Thousand and Seven.

 An Act relative to the Homestead Act.  .

 

    Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:


 

SECTION 1. Section 1 of Chapter 188 of the General Laws, as so appearing, is hereby further amended by replacing the period at the end of subsection (6) with a semicolon and inserting after subsection (6) the following:   

 

(7 ) for a tort liability, for which the cause of action occurred prior to the acquisition of said estate of homestead.
