Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
Section 1 of chapter 234 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2004 Official Edition, is hereby amended by adding the following paragraph: — A pregnant woman may elect not to have her name placed on the list and in such case she shall be treated as a person exempt from jury duty under this section.
