An Act relative to increasing the amount of damages in small claims court.

    Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

SECTION 1. Section 21 of chapter 218, as appearing in the 2004 Official Edition, is hereby amended in line 6 by striking the words “two thousand dollars”, and inserting in place thereof:— $5,000.
