 An Act providing pension benefits to a surviving pouse who provided continuing care to a totally disabled spouse. .

 

    Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:


 

SECTION 1.  Section 101 of chapter 32 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2002 Official Edition, is hereby amended by inserting after the word “section”, in line 19, the following words:— provided, however, that there shall be paid to said surviving spouse, who because of the prior total disability of the deceased spouse became a constant care giver and could not be otherwise employed an amount of allowance according to subdivision (2) of section 9.
