In the Year Two Thousand and Seven.

 An Act relative to injured on duty benefits for enviornmental police officers. .

 

    Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:


 

SECTION 1.  Chapter 30 of the General Laws, as appearing in the most recent edition, is hereby amended by inserting the following new section 58A:-

                Section 58A.  Notwithstanding any provision of this chapter or any other general or special law to the contrary, if an environmental police officer while in the performance of his duties receives bodily injuries, and who as a result of such injury would be entitled to benefits under chapter one hundred and fifty-two of the general laws, shall be paid the difference between the weekly cash benefits to which he is entitled under said chapter one hundred and fifty-two and his regular salary.
