An Act relative to the counting of homeless mentally ill individuals by Department of Mental Health area boards.

    Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

SECTION 1: Section 15 of chapter 19 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2004 Official Edition, is hereby amended by inserting after subsection (b) the following new subsection:

to count from time to time the number of homeless individuals utilizing Department of Mental Health services in their area in order to accurately gauge the need for services among this population.
