 An Act requiring prescription drug abuse training for medical providers.

 

    Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:


 

SECTION 1. Subsection (a), Section 18 of Chapter 94C, as appearing in the 2004 Official Edition, is hereby amended by inserting at the end of paragraph (2) the words “;and” and adding at the end thereof the following paragraph:-

 

(3) certified as having completed no less than 10 hours of training on effective pain management, identification of patients at high risk for prescription drug abuse and other aspects of drug abuse.
