In the Year Two Thousand and Seven.

 An Act relative to the powers of county governments and councils of government.

 

    Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:


 

   Chapter 34, section 1, as appearing in the 1998 Official Edition of the General Laws, is amended by adding at the end thereof the following:— “County Governments and Councils of Governments shall have the power to negotiate and contract with utilities, cities, and towns in providing electric service.”
