In the Year Two Thousand and Seven.

 An Act prohibiting lending of money by cities and towns.

 

    Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:


 

Section 5 of chapter 40 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2004 Official Edition, is hereby amended by inserting after the word “law”, in line 5, the following words:-  :provided, however, that no city or town shall expend any funds for the construction, ownership or operation of a golf course.
