In the Year Two Thousand and Seven.

 An Act requiring religious institutions to offer cities and towns a right of first refusal.

 

    Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:


 

   Notwithstanding any general or special law to the contrary, prior to the agreed upon sale of any real property which it owns, a church, religious organization, or any tax-exempt organization, shall offer the real property for sale to the city or town in which it is situated.
