An Act relative to constables.

    Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

SECTION 1.           Chapter 41 of the Massachusetts General Laws after section 91B, add the following section:

“Chapter 41, Section 91C.  Regulation of constables.”

“The Massachusetts Department of Public Safety shall be charged with the regulation of constables within the Commonwealth and may establish policies, rules and standards regarding the management of constable activities.”
