In the Year Two Thousand and Seven.

 An Act relative to the protection of inland waters.

 

    Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:


 

SECTION 1. Chapter 131 of the General Laws is hereby amended by inserting after section 40B the following section:-

Section 40C.  The commissioner of environmental protection may from time to time close off inland waters or portions thereof for the purpose of assisting in the eradication, prevention or control of exotic weed species such as milfoil and fanwort.
