In the Year Two Thousand and Seven.

An Act relative to regional healthcare.

    Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

SECTION 1. There is hereby established a pilot project creating a regional administration center for Northern Berkshire County’s health care industry.  Northern Berkshire county is defined as the city of North Adams and the towns of Adams, Cheshire, Clarksburg, Florida, Savoy and Williamstown.  Said center would handle all paperwork relating to health care for patients and programs.  The effects and outcomes of the pilot program should be studied and if determined to have a positive impact on the health care industry, should be used as basis and model to create these regional administration centers throughout the Commonwealth.
