In the Year Two Thousand and Seven.

 An Act to enusre sanitary conditions in physicians' offices.

 

    Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:


 

SECTION 1.  Section 5 of Chapter 112 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2004 Official Edition, is hereby amended, in paragraph 2,  by inserting the following sentences at the end thereof:-

 

 “Said unit may inspect any licensee’s office at any time during regular business hours, and without notice, for the purposes of verifying that the office is clean and sanitary, that the licensee has all appropriate and necessary equipment as determined by the board and that patient records are maintained in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.”
